Kit deBretton Gordon, Head of Creative, created the Drift teapot in the studio where Robert Welch started his design business in 1955. She studied Robert’s sketches and models in the company archives, including the iconic Sixties ‘Aladdin’s Lamp’ teapot design, Alveston – still in use in homes today. Kit’s Drift teapot is inspired by the graceful, organic curves found in nature, and her sketches are embodied by continuous, flowing lines.
